Often clubs have a lot of great ideas for ways players can give back to the community, but it can be difficult to fit everything in within the time constraints of people with busy lives. One way to be more efficient is to combine objectives – in this case team building with community involvement. Reaching out to local homeless shelters, players can work together to cook meals or prepare lunch bags and hand them around around town, riding bikes (check out www.hashtaglunchbag.org). Often by bringing players together in a non-soccer environment you might find different players stand out than at soccer, which affects the group dynamic and gives increased respect from others.
